US Airways or Air Canada? |
If you've flown with both carriers, which did you prefer? It will be for a long haul flight from Canada to Asia. We have a toddler and a baby as well...in case that makes a difference to anyone's opinion. |

I fly almost 100 times a year, probably at least half of that on USAirways, and have not once had my luggage get lost on the hundreds of times I've flown them. Overall they're a pretty good airline. Air Canada is also good. I would say they're pretty much equal.
That said, USAirways doesn't fly to Asia. So you'd have to go with Air Canada. Maybe you were looking at USAirways flights where the first leg of your flight was operate by USAirways and your connecting flight was operated byy another Star Alliance partner (probably United Airlines), which would be a total disaster. I would avoid United at all costs. |

Air Canada. I flew from Calgary-Vancouver-Tokyo last May and never had an issue with them. No lost luggage, friendly staff. |

I don't think US Airways serves Asia. You might purchase the flight from US Airways or Air Canada, but in all likelihood it's going to be serviced by United or one of the other Star Alliance partners that US Airways and Air Canada code-share with.
When you look into the flights, ask the reservation agent or the travel agent who operates the flight. |

Well I like US Airways, I travel with them from NY-Jamaica. They are so business like and punctual. |

Is your luggage going to the same desination? If so, US Air is probably not a good choice for you but, if you don't care where your luggage ends up, they are actually not bad. |

US Airways does not fly to Asia.
However, Air Canada has several direct routes from Canada to Asia, and travelling with children I can only advise you to book the most direct flight, thus avoiding misconnections and passing through security too many times.
And Air Canada is updating their long-haul fleet with state of the art Boeing 777, with an excellent on-demand inflight entertainment.
Hope this helps |

I frequently fly from Atlanta to Toronto and I prefer Air Canada. They are usually more expensive than other airlines serving the same market, but it is worth it. |
