Underarm deodorant, toothpaste and Shaving cream on planes? |
I plan to fly and take only carry-on - I want to take bare essentials like small travel size toothpaste, Underarm deodorant (like Mennan Speed Stick) , small travel shaving cream and a small tube of cream for skin condition? These are not liquids - are they allowed? |

It's amazing how many retarded answers come from people who like hearing themselves type!!!
First, the ban is on liquid or GELS, so all those things you mentioned are affected by the ban (unless the deoderant is a solid stick). YES chapstick, lipstick etc. are considered gels.
Secondly, with those items listed, you CAN bring them onboard, so long as each is 3oz or less, and are put into a single quart (sandwich size) ziplock bag.
Your cream for your skin condition, is it prescription? If so, that is exempt from the 3oz+baggie rule, as long as there's an Rx label on it. If not, see below.
You can bring up "essential" non-Rx liquids/gels on board, if they are in containers less than 4oz. Included on this list is contact solution, saline, and KY jelly (it's even listed on the TSA website). They do not have to go into the baggie. |

I know they change the rules constantly but as of when I am writing this THESE ARE THE RULES:
Deoderant is not a liquid (either is chapstick or tube lipstick) brings as much as you want of those. Shaving cream, cream and toothpaste are all in the liquids/gels/aerosols category that are limited.
If the cream for a skin condition is a prescription and is in its original container and has your name on it (prescribed to you), it is also allowed.
As for all other liquids: you are allowed one quart sized zip-lock bag for liquids. Each liquid in there must be under 3 oz, so get some travel size. That bag must be presented to security separately to be screened. |

Should be no problem. You can carry 3 ounce or smaller containers (no half empty 6 oz. tubes of toothpaste) that fit comfortably in a clear quart size zip bag. The bag has to be removed for examination at security. See the following website for official TSA rules. Have fun. |

If I remember right, they partially lifted the no liquid ban on flights as long as you buy them at the airport AFTER you have passed the checkpoint....You could call your airport and ask them for sure..... |

Not sure since they keep changing it. I suggest calling the airport or their website and check what's allowed on. |

Deodorant are only allowed if they are white stick, not gels. toothpaste and skin condition are not allowed to my knowledge. Shaving cream is not allowed I know that from personal expirience.
I would definatly sugest going to faa.com and checking this out, because I know its listed here; however I think your going to wind up buying most of this stuff when you arive. |

Your better off buying the small travel sizes at a walmart or walgreens when you get there. since you can only take some and not other stuff , just leave it all , and buy it all when u get there. Or, if your staying at a motel, some have all that available in single or baby sizes, if you ask. |

None of them are permitted on board aircrafts.... just check it in.. if you are travelling first class then you could ask your airline staff to keep in safe custody-not sure though, depends on staff and airline. |
