as long as it is off during take off and landing it will be fine. Flight attendants are used to these types of phones now. Don't worry they won't have a problem with it. |

like you say... put it on FLIGHT MODE, then turn it off. When the pilot says you can turn on your electrical mp3 devices then turn your phone back on which will be on Flight Mode and use it as your MP3 player. I do that with my iPHONE and the airline crew knows that about these new phone/mp3 phones. The rules are bent because the world is advancing to a flatter state. Try it out first... put it on flight mode, turn it off, back on and see what mode it is in. If it works... problem solved. |

The flight attendants do say to "put your iphone onto flight mode" these days so I think you'll be ok! |

I have Sony ericsson with flight mode and they made me turn it off. On five airlines. I think it depends on the airline. I think they do it to save arguments with other passengers who may want to use theirs not knowing it is in safe mode. |

No electrical equipment can be used during take off and landing, this includes phones, gameboys, psp etc but most will allow use during the flight, but to avoid any conflict why not just get a cheap mp3 player to use instead? |

I went away at the beginning of July and on the flight i was told by the flight attendants i wasnt allowed to use my phone even in flight mode |

yeah if the phone is in flight mode and the signals are not interrupting the navigational system of the plane. |

im not sure, because isnt there research that shows mobiles can! actually be used on flights with no compromise to safety????? |
