there is nothing to be afraid of. flying is alot of fun, the take offs and landings are the best. i have never had any bad experiences (the food is another thing). do not let the bad press worry you. most flights have no problems at all. if you are that afraid you might try to find something to do to keep your mind off of fllying.

you will be fine. statistics show it is safer than driving.

your first flight , i would request a window seat. you will enjoy the view , ascent and descent .

hopefully, you will have a nice seatmate to chat with. if not, you can bring your ipod or work on your computer as a backup plan.

you will enjoy Spain too.

Good. First you feel that your stomach is not in its place anymore, and maybe your ear(s) have a pain.
Ask the ticket somwhere near the window. Than every unconfortable thing (for example pain) will go away, because what you see, it is unforgetable.

You will be fine, chew gum when you take off and land and swallow a lot (that will keep your ears from popping) just enjoy it. You might even tell the flight attendants that you are a little scared and it is your first flight. They will go out of their way to make you comfortable.

You'll be fine, just think of it as a bus with wings because that's what they are. Bring something to do on the plane, a book or PSP or MP3 player and sit back and enjoy the trip. Due to all the security around airports it has become very dramatic and intimidating for the first time flyers but don't worry about it or the plane. One thing to remember on the plane is that it WILL make a LOT of noises that you aren't used to hearing DON'T PANIC these are normal.

After your flight hopfully you'll wonder what all the fuss was about ENJOY Spain for me!

BTW the hopfully was because sometimes people just have terible flights, bad food, crabby passangers and crew, the only lumpy seat on the plane.

Very surreal.

I mean, and i was just looking out of the window down at the Alps - it was just like ' wow! '

Didn't feel real at all.

And you don't really feel like you're moving..

I don't think that's a very long flight is it ? - you'll be fine =)

Take a travel sickness tablet beforehand. (unlikely but just incase)

And enjoy =)

The first time of everything is always the most exciting if properly handled and carefully planned. Find out what is acceptable by the airline and keep your mind on what you expect to do in Spain.
