What's the best airport you've ever been to?

I would say Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. It's clean, not hectic, and it's easy to navigate, despite being a huge airport. I've been there several times and it's a hundred times better than any mall because there's so much to see and do. I had nine hours waiting time for a connecting flight once, and it was no problem because I really enjoyed being at that airport. I didn't even get bored for a minute.

My home airport is best to me--because it's always nice to be back home! Beyond that, Schiphol (AMS) is tops for all the reasons you list. With an art gallery, casinos, various restaurants at all price levels, a plaza with an interactive fountain, various comfy chairs (the big red curvy ones, and the "psychiatrist couches" are my favourites!), an efficient design and layout, very pleasant modern and eye-pleasing surroundings, lots of moving walkways, lots of toilets (that are kept clean and stocked!), easy transport options with a train station below the arrivals hall, lots of airlines there, etc. etc. make it my second favourite airport to travel through (home is first!).

I would agree that Amsterdam is probably the best. In the US, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, West Palm Beach, and Dallas-Ft Worth are among the best; LAX, Washington-Dulles, Miami, Atlanta, and Newark are among the worst.

MIdway International in Chicago, is my favorite. It is clean and is a great alternative to O'hare airport. The terminal building is also new and modern. There are 42 gates but you don't have to walk forever to get between them.

Beleive it or not Caracas airport is very nice. Everything is very close together no far walking. Its also very high tech and clean.

For me it's the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Centennial Terminal 3. It'z cozy and very neat.

Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. Everyone is very friendly, it's very clean and it only has 8 gates so your not walking for miles.

Singapore Changi Airport - gardens, free net access, sports coverage, swimming pool, movie theatre, great shopping, a free city tour, business services, very quick baggage delivery and friendly immigration officers!! How good can you get?!

in europe - schiphol in amsterdam
in asia - changi in singapore - probably best overall in terms of shopping, areas to rest, etc.
in the usa - san diego - relatively small and close to downtown. midway chicago is also good.

I have only traveled in the U.S., but I think Orlando International Airport is the best. It's pretty big, but ALWAYS well-organized and clean.
