Cold gingerbeer when swallowed can releave pain -also associated with motion sickness- while chewing gum stimulates the eardrums allowing the muscles to relax.

Here is how I do it.
I open my mouth and pretend to swallow something.
A better way to do it is I try to swallow my saliva.
I do this as often as I can to ease the pressure on my ears.

i got that problem too especially wen i land in another country.... just chew bubblegum and constantly swallow
Something Stupid
Chewing gum(or a candy or watever u can lay your hands on). When you chew, the muscles near your ear drum are blocked, and your ear won't pain cuz the muscle are tightened... (something like that)

Definitely chewing bubble gum. It also helps to yawn. I would say the best thing to do is go to sleep and not think about it.

people say vitamins, or chewing, but i think the best thing is to have a hot shower before you leave (to soften any wax) and drink water.
I fly allot and find this to be highly effective. :)
