It depends on where in Ohio you are aiming at.

If you are ending up in the Northern or Northwestern part of Ohio, then I would say Cleveland International Airport. If you are going to be in the Southwestern part of Ohio, I would say Dayton. If you are going to be in the Northeastern part of Ohio, then either Cleveland (if you are going to be closer to there) or Pittsburgh (if you are going to be in the Youngstown area or south of there.) If you are going to be in the more central part of the state, then either Cleveland or if you can get a commuter flight from a larger airport you might want to consider Akron (Akron works well for the centrel eastern part of the state too.)

Good luck, enjoy the flight and pack for cold weather, at least if you will be in the northern half of the state.

You can fly from London to Cincinnati, Ohio direct using Delta. The airport you will fly out of though will be Gatwick. Cincinnati is located in the southwestern part of Ohio. The airport you will fly into is actually call the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport. The airport is actually located in northern Kentucky and you drive about 20 minutes to get to downtown Cincinnati.

Dayton (about 70 miles north of Cincinnati) has an airport as well though there are no flights that go directly into Dayton from London.

Columbus is located in the middle of Ohio and is the state's capital also has an airport.

Toledo, located in the northwest part of Ohio has a small airport.

Cleveland, the largest city of Ohio is located in the northeastern part of Ohio. I do not think Continental flies directly from London to Cleveland but you can check.

Just south of Cleveland is Akron/Canton. That is a smaller airport.

So Ohio has quite a number of airports but it depends on where you are heading. To get from Cincinnati to Cleveland, you will have to drive 4-5 hours.

There are many flights that go from London to New York's JFK International Airport. After connecting in New York, you can fly to Ohio.

Enjoy your flight and hope you like your visit to Ohio.

Ryskein is right about the various main cities in Ohio.

Almost every major American airline flies to all three main cities and you can get commuter flights to many smaller cities.

New York is NOT the only transfer option for your trans-Atlantic flight. For example, you can get to Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Dayton from Atlanta, which has better wintertime weather than cities farther north - and Delta & British Airways fly non-stop from Gatwick to Atlanta.
