What's the cheapest way to fly from China to Chile?

I live in Shandong Province (closest airport's in Jinan, but Beijing is ok too), and need to be in Santiago in early February. I was wondering if someone knew a better, cheaper way (flying out of Korea, perhaps? Or something like that...

Thanks!

I did a search and British Airways had a cheaper airfare out of Beijing. If you flew out of Jinan it will cost you $2,000 more. Take the BA flight from Beijing to London-Heathrow, then switch for the BA flight to Sao Paulo, Brazil. From Sao Paulo, you can take LAN airlines to Santiago. Take the same route backwards, and your fare will cost 23,507.00 yuans (US$2,641). The travel dates for this itinerary are February 5-12, but of couse you can change the dates.

Might consider connecting in Tokyo since it is much closer than Sydney. I found a fare of about $1600 from Tokyo to Santiago on kayak for February, but it seems that all of the Beijing/Jinan fares to Tokyo are not so great (like $1300 ish). Maybe consult a local travel agent to see about getting a better fare to Tokyo. This method will definitely be cheaper than going via Sydney.

I think that if you go to Sidney first and from there in a LanChile flight with only 1 scale in Eastern Island, before reaching Santiago...it should be the best and cheaper way.
