Try making your own sudoku puzzle or buying logic puzzle book or buy a sudoku book or try to switch books with a fellow passenger or try to buy anouther book. Try to get a portable DVD player or portable game console with a few fun games. Try talking to other passengers and see if they have any creative ideas for killing time. |

I find a combination of the following works real well:
- Earplugs
- A sleeping mask (these two will help you get maximum sleep)
- A live by my Nintendo DS (you can kill hours playing Tetris, Brain Age, Suduko)
- Do a few crosswords
- Read a Harry Potter book
- Eat all meals (this kills 30min at a time) |

if you have a laptop bring dvd's if not get one of those portable dvd players that is what i do and i spend more time in the air than i do on the ground.

Fly first class other wise you will get cabin fever. I flew from Newark, NJ to Singapore (which currently is the longest non-stop route in the world) which was 18 hours nonstop in economy and I almost went insane.
I took the same flight back, only I paid about an extra $1500 to upgrade to first class and I felt much much better. It was worth it.

Bringing a DVD player, reading a book, taking frequent naps, and eating food will get really boring 8 hours into a flight.
If you are flying more than 18 hours you are obviously making a stop which is good.
If you can afford it you really need to fly first class on an international carrier which features lie flat beds |
