Not only the take off, which is exhilarating, but also flying over mountains on a clear day, like I did over the Pyrenees returning from Barcelona last January. |

I love the take off. I love the surge forward as the engines power up and the plane tears down the runway. I would love to feel that in a fighter jet.
I feel like a 6 year old kid everytime. |

I feel a bit embarrassed about this answer, because I know that most people who fly don't get to experience First or Business Class, BUT
the thing I like best about flying is that when travelling long distances (like US to Middle East) the planes used on international routes all have large seats that recline into virtually full beds. You have first-run movies, gourmet meals, free premium wines and cocktails, and a "goodie bag" with lotions, bathroom essentials, slippers, etc.. There are roughly 8 passengers per flight attendant and you basically get 24 hour attention. It is like staying in a five-star hotel with someone assigned around the clock to see to your every need. On a trip to Hong Kong, I had six-course meals for lunch and dinner, featuring authentic Chinese food. It is heavenly and there is no experience quite like it on the ground. |

Hmmm I can sleep and ignor people.
I can tell the big fat guy next to me to keep his arms in HIS area or he can pay me a portion of my ticket because this is MY area. I fly at least twice a month and I swear I have to tell someone that every single time. Why are people so rude as to think it's ok to hang their elbows in my seating area where I have to adjust myself to avoid their elbows in MY seat? |

The free food and booze. Especially since I fly First or Business for my work. Helps make the flight rather pleasant, if the airline is good. |

I love the thrill of take off and landing, wondering if it will crash back down to earth, I know it sounds weired but I have no fear of death, but still prefer life. |

Sitting in between two fat people who invade my space with their elbows, the screaming baby 3 rows behind me, the "food" they serve that taste like plastic, and the way my ears pop from the altitude. |
