Don't worry!

This is how it works in the airports i have been to:

Check in at the appropiate desk - check for the flight number on the screen above the desk. You will then go through secruity. Take off whatever they tell you to - usually coats, bags, shoes, jewellery etc. Walk through the beeper thing and then collect your things at the other end.

Then, depending on how much time you have, browse around the shops (if any), get a coffee or something to eat. Watch the planes landing and lifting off if you can see from one of the windows.

REMEMBER! Listen for your flight being called or keep checking the screens which are usually placed in different areas. Be sure to head to the departure loungs when your flight is called (or 'BOARDING' as it usually says on the screens)

Then when the door is open, you can make your way to the plane.

Once you have left the plane and entered the airport, collect you luggage. (if you have any, asides hand luggage) Then you may have arranged to meet someone or get a taxi/bus to your destination. Either way, be careful.

Before you leave make sure you have all important documents (passport, tickets) in a secure place that can be accessed easily (by you!)

Don't worry, have fun and enjoy being independent!

You go find your gate and wait for your flight. If you have a long wait then you sit there listen to your iPod and do whatever. If there are food places anywhere, go get something to eat and drink. When you get off your flight, you find the person who is taking you to your destination. And you pick up your luggage. Have fun!

Go somewhere you can hear the announcements well.. If you're confused, just ask someone who work there. They're always more than helpful, especially when you're young. You can tell them its your first time flying if you want and they should answer any questions.

haha when you get past security look on your ticket and it will have a gate number...go to the gate, then they will board and call row numbers up. when you get off go to baggage to get your bags and then call whoever is picking you up

I get nervous when I fly, but you will be OK. What I do is stand back and watch what other people do before I move around. Usually, you go to the baggage claim area after you get off. If you are meeting someone, they will probably be there since they are not allowed to go to the gate, thanks to the terrorists.

after you get through security you just have to find your terminal and gate and wait
there are lots of signs and such, and if you get confused (i usually do haha) find someone who works at the airport and have them point you in the right direction
