If the object is to get from point A to point B as cheaply as possible then fly with the low cost airlines and do not complaint about the lack of amenities that you have grown to expect with the main line carriers. The mainline carriers have spent years and years plus billions and billions of dollars to develope the airline industry that we know today. It hardly seems fair that the low cost carriers can now come in reap the profits from something they did not spend one dime in developing. However, in a free enterprise market, that is the way things work. |

I would not rely on Ryanair or Easyjet for any important trip. The way they treat customers is appalling. |

i was actually pretty impressed when i flew jet blue on the Atlantic seaboard (USA). good prices, yummy snacks, TV for each passenger... even my 3 year old was aloud her share of luggage.
i wasn't looking for a business class - i was looking for a way to visit my family for as little cost as i could so i could spend my $$ on vacation! |

not actually that low cost once they add on all the hidden extras! Ryanair are the worst, the seats are tiny and it's always a horrible experience and they make a fortune off excess baggage (only 10kg for hand luggage and 15kg for main luggage) but since they are cheaper than most I'll still fly with them! Easyjet aren't as bad |

They do what they are intended to do - get passengers from A to B, without any frills. |

In Australia, Virgin Blue is great value, offers the same service as bigger airlines minus the meal, but you can survive a 2 hr flight without a meal and theyre available for purchase anyway. Jetstar is a shocker, unreliable, cancel flights last minute and dont care about their customers. |

My Mum brought me up to believe that you only get what you pay for and I think low cost airlines prove its true.
The service stinks and their attitude if you have problems seems to be 'go away and don't bother us'. |

They are what they are intended to be a frugal way of traveling. Going back to the 80's The charge for a trans-con flight was more than what it is now and that is without inflation. Simply put people are not going to have the same meals space or services for the same price when all the other cost factors have increased. I never understood why airlines started selling tickets at a loss and expected to profit. So now the tickets Are sold at a Loss and they add Sir charges or items that used to be included in the tickets cost. When will they ever learn how to run this industry! |
