It might be helpful to know whether your in the UK,America,Germany,France....if your in the States I'd look at using Southwest...if your in the UK I'd use British Midland.

Southwest or Continental-definitely.
They both offer exemplary service and are cost-effective. (SouthWest more so) However Continental does serve more destinations both domestic and abroad i would look into either of these.
Have A Great Trip!

I liked Jetblue, new airplanes, nice entrainment, regular service. Try to avoid American.

It all depends on where your family is traveling from and to. certain airlines will have cheaper prices from different airports depending on where you are going. if you are going to certain airports that may be hubs of an airline/s you may have more of a frequency of flights. once you decide where you are going, it will be a lot easier to tell you which airlines to specifically use on that route. if you need any more help, just ask. have a wonderful vacation with your family.

Domestic US? Or somewhere else?

"Best" is always going to be subjective. A really terrific airline is no good to me if it doesn't fly from where I'm starting out to where I want to go. I may care most about legroom, you may care most about price, someone else will surely care most about in-flight services, on-time performance, or whether the airline has ever had a fatal crash.

Alaska Airlines, if you want good service, good seats, and good aircraft.

With out question Delta
