Fluorescent ribbon as it can be seen for miles. I used to put travel stickers on the case years ago, but that went out of fashion. Then bought an orange coloured case, but then they started producing more coloured suitcases, so now just tie bright fluorescent ribbon on the handles at least your case never gets mixed up with anyone elses. |

I saw one case covered either in sprayed or felt tip pen graffiti... (for want of a better description).. there was no way any one would want to take that case of the carousel in error or otherwise... BUT what amazed me was the female it belonged too...
SHE WAS PRISTINE... the most elegant little dolly I've ever clapped eyes on..!!! |

I never bother putting anything other than an address tag with only my name in BIG letters on my case, all the other cases coming off the carousel are covered in ribbons, bows, scrunchies and multi coloured belts.
I go away twice a year and never have any bother, Oops have i just jinxed myself. |

If I tell you then you'll steal my bag at the carousel. |

It's red and gray so it's already fairly distinctive, however the huge dent the bl**dy baggage handlers managed to knock into it is also a bit of a give-away! |

I wouldn't put anything on it, apart from a label, coz i would buy the loudest most brightest case, so that i would spot it a mile off!!!
But if you have already got your case, i would tie fluorescent ribbons on it!!!
Enjoy!! |

A personal 'charm' (you can buy them in the jewlery dept of Kmart and are made for purses, etc) that I can recognize immediately along with the color, size and condition of my suitcases....
My father-in-law also used 'masking tape' in unique patterns...but it doesn't peel off all that well and leaves 'black lines' around the edges of the tape...but it IS a solution as well |

I wrap mine with strips of colorful tape.It helps keep my bag in one piece and discourages "people" from opening it... Plus hair scrunchies on the handles. |

I tie a bright unique coloured rope or ribbon on it plus I put several name tags but the coloured unique ribbon or rope usually does the job. |

I used to tie a ribbon around the handle, but then I just stopped buying black suitcases. :) Now I just choose ones in a less common color which makes things much easier. |

I just use a bright pink luggage tag. That's it. I've never had an issue with someone walking off with my bag.
Since I've started traveling to Hawaii I've been buying luggage tags with Hawaiian themes (flowers, flish, turtles), but I usually only use these on my carry on. |

I stick pieces of brightly-coloured tape diagonally across the case. Nearly everyone who uses tape sticks it up/down or across, rather than diagonal. And use a colour that is fairly horrid, that nobody else would use. (eg. lime green) |

Generally yarn or ribbons. You can use one of the belts made for this matter, the problem comes when TSA, opens the bag, and forgets to put the belt back on it. Or puts it on a similar looking bag, which comes out on the carousel. Another way to go is to buy some of the newer hideously colored luggage, that no one else has. |

I've got a wide flowery belt that goes round it. It contrasts with my red suitcase and stands out easily. |
