You've got music and games already - that's a great start. I'd also suggest a coloring/activity book and crayons (markers are too messy) - it'll keep you occupied for a while. Also, bring a neck pillow and an eyemask so you can sleep - that definitely helps pass the time, haha!
Some airplanes do have individual screens on the seat in front of you with free movies, games, TV shows, etc. but it depends on the type of plane that you get - older planes don't have these (they have TVs throughout the cabin, not in the backs of the seats), but newer ones do. There's no way to know if your plane will have these until you board it, so don't depend on them for entertainment (been there, done that - my flight to England had them, the longer one home from Paris did not).
Don't forget to get a voltage converter (you can buy them at Target or WalMart) and bring your iPod and PSP chargers so that you'll have them ready to go for the plane ride home, too.

with such a long plane ride, they probably have movies for you to watch for free. I would do that and strike up some conversations with fellow passengers. After all, you will be sitting around them for hours on end! Try some Sudoko or word puzzles. |

Sleep! You'll need it. I'm sure there is a time zone change. You will be messed up when you get there. You could also bring along some books on England, if you've never been there. It might be nice to read about the country you're visiting and make a list of things you might want to see. Have a Great time!!

Can you read magazines? That's what I do sometimes. And I agree with whoever said sudoku! Also I bring a notebook and a pencil and doodle a lot or make lists of all the fun stuff I'm gonna do or what I'm excited about for when I get to my destination. You should try to sleep, too. If you have long hair, you could try out different hairstyles, like braid your hair or something. I do that when I get bored. Anyways good luck and have fun in England! |
