Planes are gentle - you are going at a fast speed before take off so obviously you will feel a little something, but not much at all. I'm petrified of the stomach feeling - it hurts me! But I never get it on a plane, so don't worry, sit back and relax!
Landing may make your stomach go a little bit, as you come down in like steps, but it's the same as going over a bridge in a car every 5 minutes - again only gentle, but you get used to it after a while. |

You barely even notice, aside from a mild rumble and some cabin pressure.
It seems terrifying but it really isnt.Just spend your time during takeoff and landing talking to your bf,you wont even notice |

Don't worry!! I've been going on aeroplanes since i was 2, like everyone in my familly and nothing has ever happened.
At the take of you can get scared but remember the aeroplane is the safest transport right now!! erything will be ok!!!when you are up in the clouds you wont feel anything either becase the plane nearly moves except if it is a realy realy small plane. You can even dance around in the plane when your up!! The landing is less scary than the taking of!! If you stop thinking of hights etc. you won't get sick!! the taking and landing realy lasts like 2 seconds!! its nothing wow or scary!!good luck on the plane if you go!!! |

Taking Off and Landing is the best part of flying being up there is pretty boring. Half the time your up and down before you know it. |

Takeoffs - imagine sitting is a fast car at a standstill. Floor the gas, you go back into your seat. A plane taking off is not near that bad. You might feel you go back into your seat a little, but not much.
Your ears may pop - just chew gum, swallow, or something - not bad at all.
Landings - A good pilot will touch down with little to no bump, and brake slow enough for you to not feel it much. Sometimes you go forward a bit, like when someone decides to stop at a light at the last minute when they first thought they could make it through it.
The worst part of the ride "could" be if there is turbulence - bumpy air while flying. This doesn't happen often, but would be like driving down a very rough road.
Don't compare with roller coasters or other amusement rides - compare with a car drive. |

When you take off and land you don't really get that weird stomach feeling you get on rides. What bothers some people is the ear popping- a trick to prevent that: chew gum and keep swallowing. Its honestly not bad at all.
To be completely honest the stomach feeling only comes when there is turbulence which has only happened once for me and i've flown quite a bit.
I think at some point we all have to face are fears and you should fly, its honestly not as bad as you think, you may find you actually enjoy it!! |

Dont worry taking off and landing isnt as bad as some fast ride, your belly MAY roll a little and your ears pop abit, but suck of a boiled sweet it does help. |

They both can be scary, but you will be fine. Just think about how many planes travel everyday and are fine. Taking off is fun if you look out the window, and landing isn't too bad either, as soon as the plane hits the ground the pilot is able to apply the breaks quickly and the plane will come to a stop very shortly after. You put yourself at a greater risk driving in a car than flying. Just relax and try to enjoy the experience - that's my best advice. |

You dont get the same feeling as on a ride at all. But I warn you the taking of and landing, although not feeling like a ride, may hurt your ears. Many people dont suffer, but people like me get serious ear pain but it doesnt last long.
Good luck!!!!! |

It is fantastic and the best bits of flying once you are up there it is boring. I do not like fast rides at all this is completely different! |

In smaller/mid-sized planes you hardly notice the take-off at all, it feels like being in a car going up a steep incline at about 70mph - it's a bit of an anti-climax really.
TBH, if you get the opportunity you should take your first trip on a BIG plane because the power from the engines is massive and it pushes you back in your seat - much more fun! :-)
In flight, big planes are smoother than the small planes in the same way that you get a smoother ride in a big car than a small car; it's just the take-off and landing when you feel the power.
Have a couple of ginger biscuits/cookies before you fly to settle your stomach, once the plane starts moving you'll wonder what you were so worried about. |

Its a cross between butterflies and the belly feeling light..its gone within seconds for you to enjoy the rest of the flight! xx |

some planes (mostly smaller ones) are kinda loud
take offs are kinda weird and your ears may pop a lot
but they are nothing compared to a roller coaster or a thrill ride
once you in the air its nice |
