The feelings of disorientation encountered as a result of crossing time zones are known as jet lag. Symptoms include fatigue and general tiredness, inability to sleep at night, loss of concentration, loss of drive, headaches and general malaise. Jet-lag occurs when biological rhythms are disrupted as a result of rapid transitions across multiple time-zones. Such desynchronization of rhythms also occurs in nocturnal shift work employees who transfer to night shift.
Hope this helps.

It just makes you feel tired at odd times. Usually you can get over it in a day or two, so you'll just get sleepy easily.

Like a hangover. You're exhausted and have a headache, maybe your eyes sting a little and you feel sick to your stomach sometimes.

depending upon which time zone you end up in, you either feel like bed time when every one else is just getting started or you are just getting started when it is late for all others. your days and nites are mixed on your body clock!

For the most part it feels like you stayed up all night and then proceded to go to work/School without getting any sleep. If you can sleep on the plane one shouldn't have too much trouble with it.

It makes you feel tired and it feels like you went either forward or back words in time.

Jet lag occurs when you travel through different time zones, but your inner clock is still set to the time zone where you started from. For example, if you live on the east coast of the U.S. and you travel to California, at 9:00 pm PST local time, your body will still think that it is 12:00 am EDT and you will feel very tired. Typically, jet lag will only be noticeable when you travel through two or more time zones as one hour difference is difficult to detect. The term "jet lag" was coined because jet travel has the ability to move you rapidly between time zones without allowing your body to catch up. Jet lag becomes exceptionally acute when travelling from the U.S. to, say, Europe or Asia, where the time difference can be 8 or more hours. Jet lag will normally cause you to be fatigued if you effectively go backward in time, or be wide awake if you go forward in time. The end result of either will be fatigue.
