If he sobers up he will be allowed on the plane. |

He will not be allowed on board any plane if they have ANY suspicioun that he is drunk. Hung over is different! But if he slurs or stumbles or smells of alcohol then they will refuse him access. |

As long as he's not the pilot should be fine. If he's drunk they can refuse to fly him. |

if you are not drunk..you can get on a plane. It dosen't matter if you drank the night before. As long as you arent acting drunk |

If he is sober and clean there should be no problem. Tell him not to drink on plane just don't chance it |

if he is straight up until boarding he won't arouse suspiscion, if gets drunk on the flight and aggressive or disruptive in anyway they may divert the plane and have him arrested/escorted off. Tell him he better behave himself or he could be in trouble. |

If he is noticeably intoxicated when you check in, then he may be refused boarding and you will have to buy a new flight for him later on, at your own expense. If he really does sober up overnight and seems well behaved and doesn't smell bad, they should let him on the flight. |

well that's no way for the captain to behave. |

from my experience most airlines should let him on the flight as long as he is not overly drunk.. as long as he can walk and talk and not too loud think he sould be fine... maybe he should get some help? ive been on so many flights where there have been drunk rowdy people so id try not to worry too much.
good luck :-) xxx |

he should be able to get on next morning. it's weird the airlines let people drink on board, but wont let you get on a plane drunk. |

Make sure his sober, i wouldn't want to be on the same plane as him, if his clean quiet and not drunk he should be ok! |

EasyJet /Ryanair etc. have a no tolerance policy. GOOD!
If he turns up worse for wear they will ban him from flying. He then has to buy another ticket - probably on another airline - if they have banned him permanently rather than just the one flight!
If he starts playing up badly onboard they may make an emergency stop, offload him (and you) and you will be left with a bill probably £10,000 for the stop and both of you will have to buy new tickets and he might spend the night in a French cell and you have to buya a hotel night!
So I hope you can make him see sense - pour cold water over his stupid head! |

Firstly, I am sorry to hear he is an alcoholic. I know how hard it can be trying to get one to stop, especially when he/she is someone close to you.
I have learnt that I can't change the drinking patterns, and after 8 years of it all. I have realized I can't change my Mum's drinking problem she has got to do that herself.
He will have to sober up or he can't come home. I am sure he will be fine, but probably as soon as he lands will drink.
I would say don't loose hope, I did loose faith in God though. Just that you can't change him - he has got to do it on his own. |

he will be allowed to board the plane if he does not appear overly drunk or if he seems capable of doing so in a civilised manner. If he is slurring words, smells of drink or is acting in a drunk fashion it will be assessed prior to boarding he is fit to travel. I used to work in airport security and it is the policy to let all people on board unless it is evident that they would disturb the flight |

As long as he has at least 4+ hours sleep and has a shower and brush's his teeth. There should be no problem, it's only when someone is making noise, looks suspicious or is acting the ****. All the same try and keep him away from breathing on staff lol and enjoy the rest of ur holiday |

The main reason drunks are NOT allowed to board, is their probable inability to follow flight crew instructions in an emergency. Being loud and obnoxious is secondary, but also important. Just because airports and flights have alcohol available, isn't forcing anyone to partake of it.
He'd best just stay sober, or learn Spanish. |

if drunk and still behave well no problem, but if behave wrong with tohers they will stop him. |

If he was to sober up over night, and didnt smell like alcohol, he might just make it through and board the plane. But he must not drink at all; if they even suspect for a moment he might be drunk, he will not be allowed to fly.
Drink lots of coffee, have a good nights sleep. |

The reason given by Gromit are a good example of how Britain is going to the dogs due to excessive health and safety legislation. Flight emergencies are so rare that the possibility that he cannot handle emergency instructions so cannot fly is laughable and sad. |

If he is thought to be drunk, he'll be taken to one side by security staff who won't let him fly if it's felt he's a danger to other people - I don't want to sit next to drunk people or have safety compromised when I'm on a plane so it's good an eye is kept out for drunks before they board. |

If he gets to the airport and appears sober, showered and clean then he will be fine. However if he appears to be drunk or is so hungover he looks like he is about to throw up then he will most likely not be allowed on the flight. It would be unpleasant for anyone who got stuck sitting next to him but more importantly it is an offence to be drunk on board an aircraft.
If he were to be refused boarding he may well have to pay for an alternative flight home when they are satisfied he has sobered up. |

If they notice he's drunk then they probably wont let him fly. Im talking if hes behaving badly they are not going to let him on due to the concern he may be a distraction during the flight |
|

 |
It depends entirely on how bad he is.
They won't allow him to fly if he has to be carried or is loud and abusive.
As long as he can keep quiet and just act normal he should be ok. |

well considering they serve alchahol on most planes.....and ive seen ppl get drunk on the plane....unless your realy loud and disterbing everone else...then it should be fine |
