What happens if your flight is delayed and you have a connecting flight to catch and subsequently miss it? |
I'm flying from Newcastle to Paris then Paris to Delhi and have gound return flight for £318 which I am amazed at! That icludeds taxes. But there is only 1 hour between my flight from Newcastle arriving at Paris and the flight leaving from Paris to Delhi. With it being a short gap I was just wondering what happens if the flight is delayed and you miss the connecting flight? Do they find you another flight at no extra cost? Additional Details Ah i'll not chance it, i'll get a flight with longer between connections
Thanks |

If it is the same airline that takes you onward from Paris, and I'm guessing its Air France, then they will put you on their next flight which probably wont be until the next day....if it is not the same airline,it is down to them to decide whether they are prepared to get you on their next available flight as they will say it is not their fault your inbound flight was delayed.I'm assuming you have booked these flights on the internet,as any decent airline reservationist should have advised you at the time that 1 hour is not enough connecting time.If you are using different airlines don't forget to check which terminal the Paris Delhi flight departs from as this could cost you even more time.; |

Depends on the ticket that you booked.
If youhave booked it as a through fare NCL/CDG/DEL then the airline will be responsible for you, if however you booked 2 seperate fares NCL/CDG then CDG/DEL you will be on your own. |

Contact the carrier for the connecting flight for the answer you seek. |

No thats happened to my mum. She got stuck in paris because her flight from Manchester was delayed she was meant to get a connection to Berlin from Paris. The people at the airport got her the next flight but it was in the morning the next day. They gave her a hotel for the night and payed for everything. Everything was sorted.
Hope this helps.
Travel safe. |

Yes your airlines will put you on the next flight that has capacity for you. |

No. Getting new flight is down to you. You also need to check which Paris airport(s) you're using. Beauvais is way south of the city and Charles de Gaulle is about 40 kilometres away in the north. Sounds like you're not allowing enough time |

In general, the airline will put you on the next available flight at no extra charge. However, there may not be another flight the same day. Or, if the next flight is sold out, you will be stuck waiting until there is a seat available.
A one-hour connection is rather risky. Good luck!
Don't expect the airline to pay for meals or a hotel room. They may do it for premium fare customers, but not for deep discounted tickets. Airlines do not guarantee that you will make your connection because so many factors are out of their control (weather, air traffic delays, mechanical problems.) If they do pay for anything, consider yourself lucky. |

Gah, this just happened to me.
i went to go see family in arkansas, and when we were coming home, the first plane would be late, so we wouldnt make our seocnd one from texas to seattle (i live in canada) So we had to leave today instead of yesterday.
i wanted to yell at the people to give us something free, or something like that, but my mother advised me not as they probably wouldnt take me seriously. :S |

You're screwed, that's what. |

If all flights are with the same airline, and you miss the connecting flight, they will simply transfer you to the next available flight for no extra cost, but be warned this happened to me and the next available flight with seats wasn't for 42 hrs, so long wait, however I have had connecting flights many times and it has only happened to me once, as the route in the airport is quicker for people getting connecting flights. |

depends on airline |

usually the airline will just put you on the next available flight, but as it is a special deal you should check with the airline. 1 hour between is unlikely to be enough time to make a connection |

i suppose they'd just put you on the next flight free of charge because its not your fault.
or you could just get the eurostar to paris then get the flight.
or just get a direct flight. |
