Well dont worry.. yet. As long as it is a valid connection, meaning the airline made the connection they will always take care of you if you miss it. 90 minutes would always qualify as a legal connection. 90 mins is alot of time , even if your flight is delayed you should still make your flight. The airlines build in an extra 1/2 hour. So even if you are delayed an 1 hour in Dublin, you will still have 60 mins to spare. One other thing to remember is that airlines have everything computerized. If there are several people on your flight, and other flights that are delayed and trying to make that same connecting flight, the airline will know, and hold your connecting flight up to about 30 mins.
But there are several things that can take place. If you miss your connection the airline will almost always put you on the next flight free of charge. Assuming you didnt do anything to cause the delay. If there is a flight a few hours later you will just have to relax in the airport for a while. Now to Osaka there may not be another one until the next day. So then the question of will they put you up in a hotel comes up. Most airline polcies say that if it is weather or traffic related that causes the delay you have to pay for yuor room, but anything else and they pay for a room. The airline will never charge anything to change your flight though.
I wouldnt worry, I have had much tighter connections then that and rarley had a problem. |

The plane to Osaka will not wait for you so if your flight to Amsterdam is delayed, unfortunately you'll loose the connection. This is what you have to do: talk to the airline and ask them what happens in case of delay. Second, see a map of tha airport so you know where to go to catch the connection. Good luck! |

If you miss your connection any good airline will put you on the next available flight. If this means an overnight stay until the next day they will normally pay for your accommodation. This of course is only true if you are making both flights with the same airline. |

You will have to take the next connecting flight. If it is with another airlines you can usually make the airlines that caused the delay to pay for it. 90 minutes is a long time, I wouldn't worry about it. Some connections are only 30-60 minutes. Most airlines know who is suppose to be on the flight and if they see that the other flight is delayed but close they will wait an extra 10-15 minutes. If you get off your plane and only have 10-15 minutes to make your connection go to the desk and tell them to hold the flight until you can get there. |

If flights are both from the same airline they will put you on the next flight without charge. If they are seperate airlines then you will have to buy a new ticket. |

Amsterdam would have delayed the on-going flight to wait for the arrival in most normal circumstances.
In the unlikely event that you do miss your connection the airline will only be able to offer you an available seat on the next available departure.
In my experience airports are a lot more organised than we give them credit for. |

If a flight delay results in missing a connecting flight, you may only have some comeback if the two flights were booked as one ticket, not if you book two separate flights |

Do you have an idea what caused the delay?
If the delay is caused by a natural Phenomena (weather), no carrier will provide lodging or meals in case you have to layover in Amsterdam, they will do their best to protect you (accommodating) in a different flight within the same carrier or another carrier.
If the delay is caused by any other reason, they have to provide you with anything you need until you reach your destination.
The 90min. connecting time is standard worldwide per ICAO and is included as a buffer to incidents such as delays and taxi time.
Check with your carrier to see if they have later connections to Osaka.
And to correct other answers, you do NOT need to buy a separate ticket if you happen to fly with two different carriers, specially if both segments are in the same itinerary. |

If you miss your connection (happens a lot), then the airline will rebook you on their next available flight. You can ask to be booked on another airlines next available flight. If you do this, be prepared for your luggage to be missing in action.
If the next available flight is the following day, be prepared to sleep in the airport overnight. Not fun!
And no airline with hold another flight for anyone! The people telling you this have never flown in their lives. I was on a flight where 20 people were scheduled for the same connecting flight. The connecting plane left on time (we all missed it by 5 minutes) half-full, even though they knew we were delayed because of the same airlines mechanical problems. |

check with the airline they may put you on the next plane with no extra charge. I know thats what Skandia airlines do as I've used them before. |

ring your travel agent. you've paid for it thru the ticket service fee.
second option which is the fastest, ring the local airline representative office. |

Worth getting a quick look at your travel insurance policy for these types of problems. Although the airlines usually know where your travelling from and will try their best to hold the flight. Good luck and hope you make it! |
