What happens to the waste in aeroplane toilets. Is it flushed mid air or pumped out on the ground?

It is different for different type of aircraft. What also matters is at what altitude and over what area the plane is flying.

There is a way to dump the load actually when flying over the seas and oceans and over nonpopulated areas.

Btw, those whe were arguing that a hole in lavatory would couse pressure problems... it's not true. In fact the planes are acutally using the pressure difference for the suction. When you drain the water tank in lavatory, everything is being sucked so quck that might hold you had still not to get sucked ( a joke :) So in fact yes they sometimes just dump it there.

it goes into a storage tank, and pumped out.............. otherwise, there would be (more) poo everywhere...

(yes, there are really poo particles everywhere- in your food, in the water, and in your toothbrush-- sorry if i just ruined your day)

works like an RV, the waste goes into a holding tank and is then emptied when it is on the ground to an approved receptical.

It is emptied on the ground, My father used to have a job at Brisbane airport which included emptying the sewerage tanks!

I think the pilot keeps a list of farmers on his vector who need fertilizing of their fields from the air that day so they make quickie drops you're not aware of .

A truck with a sign on the side of it that will read, "Lavoratory Services" connects to the airplane and sucks everything out through a tube. I don't wanna know where it goes or who's job it is to do what afterwards.

"Hey baby, you lookin good handlin' all that luggage - let's hook up later - jus look for the playa drivin the Lavoratory Services truck".

I think that it is flushed into a waste box in the airplane itself and they have tanks of water to flush with. I'm pretty sure it doesn't get flushed out of the air plane in mid air since it would be disgusting and also if there is an opening in the plane, the airpressure would cause some problems.
