Ok, there are 2 things the pilot can do with the waste. When on the ground or flying over land, the waste is channelled to a holding tank for disposal. When over waters, the waste is released outside. 75% of earth is water, it is easier to discard than to keep in the tank because of capacity limitation. Chances of getting hit, rare, unless you sail in remote waters and planes are flying over you. |

It goes into a big holding tank and gets cleaned out after the plane lands. Back in the old days it would just get sent out into the air, but now there's too much air traffic for that.
There have been several cases where the tanks have leaked and large chunks of frozen yuck have fallen onto peoples houses and such. Eeeewwww! |

You've reminded me of the movie Joe Dirt!
Remember! He carted around his lucky meteor every where! Turned out it was a lump of poo from an airplane! LOL
I believe it goes into a tank, and is pumped at the end of short flights, or discharged over waters on long haul trips. |

yes it collects in a tank, where its stored,
sometimes it does escape from the plane and
land on unexpecting houses. because the plane is at high altitude, it freezes on the way down Yuk! |

Generally it gets pumped out after the plane lands. If the holding tank overflows then it seeps out of the fuselage, freezes and then breaks off, plummeting to earth, making holes in roofs etc. |

In airplane a chemical toilet are using, chemical toilet is a toilet using chemicals to disinfect the waste instead of simply storing it in a hole, or piping it away to a sewage treatment plant. These toilets are most commonly found on airplanes and trains, identified with a blue colored dye in the bowl water. An even simpler chemical toilet consits of a seat on a container or bucket of water, with a solution of chemicals used to disinfect and deoderize. Commonly found on inter-city buses and in homes where indoor plumbing is not available.
Disinfection is generally carried out by mixing formaldehyde or similar chemicals with the toilet water when flushed. |
