As long as the airlines supply plenty of bottled water in the line then they should be covered legally.
I fly quite a lot and even in business you get sick of pestering the flight attendants for fluid. I hope that each passenger will be supplied with plenty of bottled water on board - in decent sized bottles!
If they don't they are leaving themselves open for all sorts of law suits and criminal prosecutions.
Even farm animals in transit are legally entitled to water!

Well I am sure that you are permitted to drink water while on line.. Once you get to the security checkpoint you will probably have to give up the water at that point.

The only reason why I bring water with me in my carry-on luggage is because if I get thirsty, I dont want to wait a long time for the flight attendant to bring me another 4oz cup half-full of ice. Its frustrating enough for me to wait for my snack so I bring my own.

I am getting to the point where I am not going to be worried about the terrorists. If I can't breathe, scratch myself, or drink water on the plane because someone has figured out how to turn that into a terrorist attack then I will just have to take my chances.

I agree.....Damn terrorists. not sure what to tell you about that one. maybe ask on of the airline personnel for some water on the tarmac? good luck traveling.

People are always complaining that their time is so precious that they can't WAIT for security checks to be completed. If they don't like the waits at commercial airline, buy your own jet.

I think people need to cooperate and ensure that we're all helping to make our flights safe, complaining, making a scene, or having an attitude with TSA agents or airline staff isn't helping the matter.

NO ONE ASKED for this terrorism crap, we just have to DEAL with it. So do it.

No one is forcing you to fly. If you know it will take half a day to get on a plane then that means you accept the situation. If you do not like that, take a bus or a train.

The solution to me would be something like this: When you want to go anywhere by air, you must make an application 6 months in advance. You will meet with a psychiatrist first, who will ask you all sorts of questions about your childhood. You will go through numerous interviews over the six-month period. A criminal background check will be done. Your life history will be studied and you will be asked to give a set of secret answers to questions for which only you know the answers. When you have passed all these examinations, a special bar code will be stamped on your arm in indelible ink one week before your departure and you will be given a user name and password. A DNA sample will also be taken. When you arrive at the airport for your flight, you will be met at the gate by a consultant who will ask you a number of questions to confirm your user name and password and verify you know the secret answers and scan your bar code. Your DNA will be cross-checked. This question session will take place as you are being taken directly to the plane. If you pass you will be taken directly to the plane in an enclosed vehicle and put on board. With all of these precautions taking place in a six month period before your flight, you will simply be scanned at the airport on the day of your flight like groceries in the express line of a supermarket. Your body orifices will be probed for foreign objects using a special chair with probes that are inserted into every body opening. When you get on the plane you will be given a drug to render you unconscious, the dosage determined by the length of the flight. Your baggage would consist of generic items prepackaged and handed to you when you reach your destination. This procedure should speed things up a bit because most of it is done in advance and make your flight safer.

You don't get free drinks on all flights. On many flights you have to purchase bottles of water etc.

I think it is shocking and very scary with all this liquid bombing they are talking about, the lockerby bombings were carried in a cassette tape player, how is anyone safe with air travel these days? We simply have to hope and pray that these psycho terrorists are not on our flight.

I would hope that no one would be in line long enough to get dehydrated, talk about a worse case scenario. I do not, thank the Blessed Lord, have to fly very often, but my children have to because of their jobs, and I know some people who are pilots; so I am just nervous over all of this. I do not want to change my life because of these terrorists, nor do any of us. Hell is too good for them. You would think after eons of time with all this war and racism and utter crap; we would have all smartened up by now. If these people would use all of the brainpower they waste on devising ways to kill others, to come up with something helpful to all mankind; wouldn't we all be better off. I guess that they are trying to find martyrdom or their allotted virgins or whatever. What a bunch of crap. I already know several people that are canceling any plans they have for flying in the next few months. It is all just beyond me how we are all human beings, sharing the same world and some of us want to just destroy others. It is all so pointless. I try to stay positive in all things, but these damn terrorists make it next to impossible. Try and have a good day.

quit ur wineing a lady @ the hospital here in town was so busy, that they made her sit in the waiting area while she misscarriaged & bleeded for 6 hours & wouldn't help her cause they had to many people a head of her with more important proplem. sad sad

My most concern about that is only the infant. By tossing all liquids the baby's infant formula can not be given on the plane as a free drink. That's the babies sorce of nutrients. What now......Then when the mom decides to breast feed on the plane, she gonna get critized as nasty mom.

Outside that, I want to be safe. I feel like you should throw it away. Your safety is more than a bottle of perfume,

If your sick enough to become dehydrated and die while waitin in line, then you shouldn't be flying in the first place
they understand people have medical conditions and are going to be doing everything they can to help them out

First of all it will take some time before someone is really dehydrated.
If you are in the line for the security check you are still aloud to drink, so what is your problem??

you do get free drinks when you get on the plane, you're just going to have to plan ahead i guess, i'd rather plan ahead than get blown up! wouldn't you
