I had been upgraded before and it was a different feeling to Economy. Not to mention you paid the price of Economy class !!

you mean from coach to first class?? you can get bumped up if they are trying to appease you for something. They will offer you a round trip ticket most anywhere they fly if they need to bump you from the flight altogether too.

It's when they bump you up X amount of classes. It happens sometimes if they happen to run out of seat for some reason. So, they bump you up so you won't get angry and tell other people that the airline is bad. You're a VERY lucky person to get bumped up.
