Sorry, i think leaving the airport (and visiting the neighboorhood) is out of the question. 3 hrs isnt enough to do that because there could be long lines at the counter and at security. Maybe you guys can just stay around the gates and go visit some shops or grab a bite. You guys can also sit at the gate of your next flight and read, play cards, do crossword puzzles or other activities. |

There is nothing to do at the airport, and you don't have time to go anywhere else. I'd suggest taking cards or something. |

Play cards, crossword puzzles, word searchs, read a book....All this can be found in the gift shops at the airport. Find a restaurant in the airport and have lunch together. People watch. Watch the planes take off/land. Can you tell I have experience in this area? |

oh myyy there's so much!
it's alittle too cold to enjoy the lake, but that's a great place. and navy pier. you could go and get pizza (famous for their deep-dish pizza), look through the shoppes (so many!) or my favorite place... go to caribou coffee. i'm not sure where else there's a caribou coffee but you definitely want to go there. |

One great thing to do is not book a flight to Chicago O'Hare, They switch my gates 4 times every time...
Pay attention to the flight info no matter what! (Chech the screens every 15MIN) Assuming you are flying on AA (American airlines-AKA the gate disasters)
DO NOT LEAVE THE AIRPORT VICINITY!!!!!!!!!! |
