What is the best Airline you have ever been on?

This has to be the easiest question I have ever answered. My answer is Emirates. Simply because you get exactly what you pay for. I recently flew in their A380 from Dubai to New York, first class and I was blown away by the service and accommodations. When I say accommodations, I mean you get your own suite with computer, bed, everything. The food was delicious, the flight attendants were super sweet. They even have showers and a bar and basically it's heaven. Sure it was a whopping 10 grand but it was SO well worth it!

My 2 favorite airlines that I have been on luxury wise are Singapore Airlines and Emirates. I have flow first class on both, and they were very nice experiences

Virgin America is the most comfortable and service airline I have ever been on. I was flying from Washington D.C. to Los Angeles back in mid-March of '08, and that is when Virgin America was still getting started. The flights were not packed, for it was a new airline, and they only had 2 gates at Washington Dulles.
Their aircraft are all leather seats, in all classes, and all seat include a personal television, with interactive in-flight texting, and burning music to a CD to take with you.
Their meal service, however, is not free. But, you can order food from the tv, and the flight attendants bring it to your seat. All you do is just swipe your credit card on the tv.
This was my best flying experience, and I will fly Virgin America again...

We only fly economy class. We like Singapore Airlines the best, but in general the Asian airlines beat the North American ones. As far as European airlines are concerned, I have only flown Lufthansa once and they were great.

Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines just have superior business class service. Korean are pretty good too, but their seats are not as advanced. The British Airways new Club World product is wonderful. I like the general vibe of British Airways, they are very confident and competent and they serve you beautifully without losing their personality.

I don't fly coach much any more, but when I did, the Asian airlines were all better than their European counterparts. I won't even talk about most US legacy carriers internationally as comparing their service to international competitors is just embarrassing. Within the US, Virgin America do blow the competition away, although United's PS service between the East and West coasts is a cut above most other carriers.

Singapore Airlines was brilliant! Qantas international was good as well, even in economy. modern planes, good food, good entertainment, good service, etc. Luckily I will be flying Singapore business class to London soon, which will be awesome as i get to fly on the A380!
