Cathy Pacific were outstanding, but Croatian Airways had real food with metal knives and forks before 9/11. Quantas were superb as well, and friendly.
Luffhansa, KML, and British Airways were great if you travel at a quiet time, but not so hot if its a rush hour.
Worse, Aeroflot - the worse by far - set was not connected to the floor. and no seat belt, Uzbekistan Airways has the worse facilities on the ground at Tashkent - sinks with all the plug hole traps stolen, so water spilled on shoes - , and El Al has the worse passenger control - this was in the snmoking days, with the entire back of the plane in a prayer, and then running around singing when it touched down, with the poor air hostess shouting (swearing) in English and Hewbrew to sit down.
Easyjet was the most uncomfortable seat i have ever suffered, and Air France had the rudest Air hostess, closley followed by a wierd Panam hostess, who kept waking me up on a long haul. |

British Airways and KLM are by far consistently two good airlines I have encountered. The service is brilliant, the food ranges from adequate to good depending on route. |

Qatar airlines, wonderful....on my way to Nepal
also a little local airline when I was there in Nepal, it flew us from Kathmandu to Chitwan, 12 people on tiny old fashioned plane, hilariously funny and a bit scary as it was a bone shaker............but exciting definitely! |

Singapore Airlines. The flight attendants are really nice and the aircraft are relatively new. SIA is always replacing their aircraft. The food tasted pretty good and the in-flight entertainment was great. I was learning a new language on my flight from San Francisco to Singapore. On our flight, the airline had pillows and blankets on every seat and when we stopped in Hong Kong and had to get off the aircraft for a technical stop, once we re-boarded, we received new blankets in shrink-wrapped plastic. |
