I do not know if they still fly to Australia , but i once flew there with Singapore Airlines.
We were really treated very well ( probably the best airline i have flown with ) and we were in the cheap seats. |

I have flown with Qantas before from Los Angeles. Long flight, but the crew kept me well fed and movies were on the entire time on the flight. If you want to connect in Auckland, I hear that Air New Zealand is hard to beat on service. I hear it is better than Qantas, but I do not know the truth of this. |

Singapore airlines were fantastic.
Got a food bug from Kuala Lumper to Auckland leg with Malasian Airlines, nor did my entertainment work. |

Quantas offered a fantastic service.
I did travel with BA once, and they messed up my booking (their fault) and they put me in first class. First class was fantastic, but i wouldnt fly with BA again, unless it was in business class.
This is very very expensive and i would not pay it. So maybe you are better off with Quantas |

From personal experience, if you are flying out of North America go with Qantas. If you are flying out of Europe, go with Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines or Emirates.
Those airlines don't always have the most competitive fares, but if you are looking for comfort and great customer service, I would recommend those :) |

I would say Quantas but never flown to Australia! Word of mouth is a wonderful thing! |

Qantas is their national carrier. Others recommended are Emirates, Singapore, Cathay, Air NZ. It really depends on where you are flying from. The Qantas site will have a trip planner on it.
www.qantas.com.au Click on the international tab and you'll see an option 'worldwide sites'. |

I have flown there twice with two different airlines. The first time was with Garuda Indonesia. People told me I was mad that they had a bad reputation etc. but I was watching my budget. They were really good. Safe, good legroom, good food and very friendly.
Second time was with Qantas two years ago. Never again will I go with them. I found it very cramped, rotten food, stuffy staff and very impersonal.
I have heard that Singapore Airlines are excellent and Malaysia Airlines as well. |

Depends where you're flying in from, but try Quantas.

Need to be a little more specific. Where will you be departing from? |

All travel agencies seem to push Quantas, maybe they give good commissions but beware of the frequent flyer awards, I have thousands of miles but when I try to use them its always the same reply... nothing available on the dates given. Even when I asked for a trip to LA on any date next year... Methinks they are bait to pull you in and nothing more.... |

QANTAS AIRWAYS. Apparently the only major airline to have never had a crash (if you're nervous) which means on the one hand they are very safe or on the other hand they are due a misfortune. You pays your money. |

Try to make sure that the airline at least provides a plane with wings. It could all end in tears otherwise. |
