i would definitely take a window seat, just make sure you don't get put by the wings cuz you won't see anything |

There is not a best seat for a 20 hour flight.
The definitive answer is any seat in First Class.
An aisle seat will mean you will not have to climb over any one to go the the rest room, but you will have other people climbing over you.
The bulk head seats (the first row) because of the wall don't have as much leg room and no under seat storage. The last row of seats against a wall do not recline.
The row of seats that would recline into an exit row (over the wing) also do not recline because they could block an escape. This usually means the second row of exit seat is better because of the increased leg room and the seat will recline.
But with some airlines, these seats are usually reserved for VIPs Frequent Flyers. It also means the row seats in front of exit row seat is not good because they do not recline.

Seats by the exit door. They have a huge amount of floor space, and you usually have your own private television monitor--usually, not always. |

Seated next to the emergency exit. More leg room. |

Window seat near exits, but it really doesn't matter...as long as you are in a window seat |

unless you want to see outside....get an aise, NOT EMERGENCY ROW!!!
while emergency row does have the extra leg room...after meal time; everyone wants to go to the toilet...especially on the long flights (4+ hours)
take an aisle seat....or very front row of Economy (where you enter and exit the plane) isnt that bad either...no toilets there. |

window seat, you can lean up against the window when you want to sleep. The best seat I have ever gotten in coach was on a 17 hour non stop flight. I was in a window seat with an empty seat next to me and then the aisle. It was awesome because I am short enough that when I wanted to sleep I just laid down on the 2 seats and my legs would stick out in the aisle just a lil bit. It was also good because the personal television at my seat was broken so I just hopped on the seat next to me if i wanted to watch a movie and yet get a good view with my window seat. |

first class any place. If in coach, as far forward on the left side, preferably the very first row (due to more leg room and not having a seat back in your face). Any emergency exit seat is also good for more leg room. |

Anywhere in first class or business class. There is no such thing as the "best seat" in economy. However, I like to look out the window, so I reserve a window seat.
