It's around three Guinesses and a long kip.Not much to see over the Atlantic.But if you stay awake, three or films and a meal--6 to 8 hours- will have do do.Plus ages waiting when you get off the plane. I measure air journey times from "freedom" to "freedom"-- walking into the airport at one end and finally walking out of it at the other end. Prepare for up to ten hours or more on that basis. |

depends....on a plane, well, also depends what kind of plane....if you are flying by yourself, you know, flapping your arms then it will take ages...but then maybe you are superman, or woman and you should get there by tea time |

Depends on the wind - usually flying westwards you fly intot he jetstream so the flight can last anywhere from 6.5 to 9 hours depending on routing and winds. The average time is 7h30.from Dublin, an hour less form Shannon.
Its generally quicker coming back as you fly with the jet stream.
Dont forget the time diffence in NY - so if you leave at 2pm you generally arrive sometime after 4pm local time. |

It really depends on tail winds and such. But generally 6 hours. Just remember while sitting on the plane to stretch your calf muscles and to drink plenty of fluids before and during your trip to prevent dehydration. Good Luck and God Bless |
