i usually fly southwest and i love it ive done midwest didn't feel that safe the plane was bouncing around all over the place and the crew wasn't that friendly and Continental and frontier are ok. |

saftey has more 'parts' to it that friendly staff and a stable plane.
i believe quantas are the safest in the world....but even one plane crash could send them down the list. basically, you can have one or 2 big crashes and suddenly you are the worst in the world.
the planes you have in america are ALL pretty safe. that is compared to some of the russian ones 20 years ago where they passed a hat around the passengers (sat in the plane) for money to buy a new mechanical part that it apparently needed!!!! |

All the major US airlines are really safe to fly in. They must meet strict FAA guidelines to be able to operate and fly an aircraft. As for the plane bouncing around, that was turbulence and you would have experienced that on any airline that day.
Overall, JetBlue, Virgin America received high marks from passengers. |
