Traditionally, she is called the stewardess. But flight attendant seems to be more commonly used nowadays.

Typically, they are called flight attendants. That is considered polite. Also, air hostess is okay. If you are flying first or business class, then the proper term is personal attendant or personal steward.

It all depends on what part of the world you are at. in north america and most other places they are Flight Attendants where as in most parts of Brittain you will find that they are refered to as Air Hostesses. i hear that in the southern USA they are refered to as "HEY YOU" ;) lol J/K

Air Hostess or Flight Attendant

apuleuis
Flight attendant is what their official job title is.

DinahLynne
When I was on a plane the last time, no one referred to them as a "stewardess." We were introduced to them as our "flight attendants." I proceeded to call them "Miss" and "Sir." They seemed to like that just fine.

martian1174
Flight Attendant or FA is the most common term used by travelers.
