Continental Airlines.
They don't have proper displays on their gates. I was confused once and when I asked the attendant at the gate he put me on the wrong plane. I was going to fly to Dallas TX instead of Dulles Washington where I was supposed to go! Luckily I managed to get off before the doors closed, and then the guy acted as if it was my fault! They were not very helpful, I had to stand there for 1/2 hour before some one was available to help me at the help desk! Finally I managed to catch a flight 6 hours later!
My connecting flight was with American Airlines, and they were so polite and helpful.
I would never fly Continental again. They are rude and ignorant. |

I was flying Contienetal back to the US after four months studying abroad in London and I was looking forward to being home again. Fog at Gatwick led to about an hour delay so we were delayed getting into Newark. I had a connection to O'Hare which I missed. It was about 6:30 PM and they could not get me to one of the busiest airports in the world that night. In fact I offered to go to any number of other airports that night. They siad that my ticket was for Chicago and that I oculdn't go anywhere else. This also meant I missed a connection in Chicago to South Bend (which was purchased on a seperate ticket). They were unwilling to honor that seperate ticket to get me to South Bend. They put me up at the Radison hotel that night (which was the one thing they did right this whole trip). They also gave me a $10 meal voutcher which I could use at the airport or hotel resturant. Sadly, the hotel resturant was Shula's stakehouse, where $10 will buy you a baked potato. The next day I checked in for my flight, since my ticket was now one way, where Contienetal flaged me for special security screening. Huray! I was also supposed to get a meal on my original flight from EWR to ORD, but there would be no meal on my flight (perhpas this was a good thing, I'll never know). They also put my seat in the last row, where the seats don't lean back. Thankfully, I was able to switch seats and get one that did lean back.
What really bothered me was that Contienetal did not seem to care. They were not willing to try to get me home or even out of New Jersey that night. After several complaints my ultimate resolution was to recieve a $75 voucher, which was not enough to get me to fly them again. |

when i was 13 i was sent as an unnacompanied minor to switzerland to visit my mom, and since in the us you can be an UM until you're 18, for air france it's up to 12, so when we got to paris cdg where i was connecting, there was a snow storm and so the lady who takes charge of us at the airport just let me go, and left me alone... my mom in switzerland was going hysterical because the airline told them they didnt have me etc... so she made them search the whole airport in paris if they didnt find me with the threat of a lawsuit. anyways they found me and gave me a room at the sheraton which by the way was a luxury suite...parents; if youre sending your kids in europe as an UM and they're over 13, DO NOT trust air france... i was stuck for 26hrs in paris alone at 13... anyways i have re flown with them now older because of the fact that when they have very cheap flights over seas you might as well, even if they suck for UMs |

easy, a WWF wrestler who must have weighed 300 pounds getting plastered in first class and starting to grope all the women. I'm 6'3 and 250, but this guy would have crushed me. He started groping stewardesses and harassing all the other women. The men couldn't stop him, so they just gave him so much alcohol he passed out then the crew used a whole role of duct-tape to fasten him to his chair. He was so mad when he woke up, there was a legitimate concern he might rip the chair out of the floor. It was a flight from new york to tokyo, so it was a loooooong flight.
There was also another time, back before 9/11 when a guy took a dump on the food cart. That was just funny until people realized there was no way to get rid of the smell...
If this isn't the best answer... |

I arrived at the airport 45 minutes before my flight's departure time and they wouldn't let me check in or board the plane. I believe they gave my seat to another person. I was in Japan and I had to sleep in the airport overnight. This was the return flight from my first leg which was delayed 23 hours, though they did put us in a hotel for that one. This was United, but they have redeamed themselves since then. |

I've got a good one.
I was on a plane to Bermuda, near hurricane, extreme turbulence for an hour approaching the island, on attempted landing there was perpindicular wind shear to the runway, and massive turbulence, the flight atendants were getting out life rafts, I could see the fuselage twisting and we were crashing, the plane was 40' from the ground when the pilot pulled a steep full-throttle ascent (very dangerous in a 737). Half the people on the plane were puking, the people on the ground were saying "Oh, my god, this 737 is crahing in front of us", we heard later. It was terrifying, I still fly, I will never fly into a big storm again though.
Oh, I did think we were going to crash, I didn't think I was going to die, it certainly crossed my mind, but my life didn't flash before my eyes or anything. I was really glad when the plane touched down finally, everyone on board clapped and cheered. |
