What items aren't u allowed to take "CARRY ON" on an airplane???

There have been so many changes with airport regulations as to what one can take in their carry on luggage... obviously i know you can't carry firearms and aerosol cans... But what are some new items that are no longer allowed on the plane??? I heard you can't even take contact lens solution on a plane anymore!!!

I traveled alot though 4 major airports this last week,

I found that some items that were allowed at one was not allowed at another.

In general any liquid other than a small amount of baby milk or forumla or a few oz of medication (liquid) with a prescription was not allowed, also no gels, such as lip balm or lotion was allowed.

So if it is a liquid, or foam, a spray can, or a gel it can not be taken on a plane.

You can go to www.tsa.gov for official information

Liquids, gels, deodorants, nail clippers, nail files;pretty soon you'll be made to walk naked to an airplane.

Just a clarification -- based on a talking to the TSA, their web site, and experience as a platinum traveler (50K miles since January): if you are diabetic, you may take glucose gels, but they are very picky about the kind. No running / energy gels -- they have to be the kin you get at a drugstore, usually glu-tose or some brand like that. It would be helpful if you have insulin, etc., with you as well, which is another permitted liquid. Basically, if it's a prescription item, you can bring it if it's in the prescription container with the prescription ID on the front, but it's good if you have a paper copy of the prescription with you as well. So far, they're allowing a little leeway, but don't count on it for long.

Also, I believe there are certain allowances for infants, but it's best to check the list at TSA.

As for "pointy things", you MAY bring on nail clippers (they changed the rule on this -- so check the TSA site and don't rely on folklore or what they did last time), and screwdrivers shorter than 3 inches (the type you use on eyeglasses and most computers). Pens / pencils for the moment seem OK. No knives of any sort (come on, big Tex!), no firearms, and nothing whasoever that can corrode, explode, or make smoke.

You're not allowed to take liquids as carry-ons, so that would explain the contact lens solution thing.
