All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be three ounces or smaller.
All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag. Gallon size bags or bags that are not zip-top such as fold-over sandwich bags are not allowed. Each traveler can use only one, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag.
Each traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items.

you shouldnt bring and water unless you have like a few ounces....i would definitely bring my own little pillow...maybe buy some sound reduction ear phones by bose..or bring an ipod...i would bring some magazines..etc to keep you busy and some snacks liek gum and chips are good too because sometimes teh air plane food will make you sick. hope this helps!

3 oz bottles in your carry-on, nothing sharp, so leave your samurai swords and nail files at home. All of your bottles have to fit in a quart size bag. This is bigger than a sandwich bag, but smaller than the gallon size. They make exceptions for liquid medical items if you have Dr. note. They have less restrictions on liquids if you check them. You can't check anything weird like lighter fluid or drain-o.

anything, except sharp items such as scissors, sometimes nail clipper with the additional knife or can opener, eyebrow trimmer...
if you go thru the check point at LCCT, you'll find lot of this kinda thing in the basket near the counter
