There is no secret, magic website with the "cheapest" airfares. You have to do the research, and be as flexible as possible regarding travel dates.
Check the travel sites (airgorilla, expedia, priceline, travelocity, etc.) and also check the airline websites. I have often (not always, but often) found the best fares on the airline websites. Remember to check airlines like JetBlue and Southwest that do not use the travel sites. They don’t fly to Hawaii, but you MAY be able to use them to get to LAX or SFO at a discount.
Seven people MAY be enough to qualify for a group fare, but you have to call the airline (talk to a human) or use a real travel agent. Again, be as flexible as possible regarding travel dates.
Also check with the "Vacations" options for the airlines, and for the hotel you plan to use. Someties you can get the hotel for only a bit more than the airfare (or get the airfare at a big discoutn via the hotel).
Examples are, below, but most airlines and hotel chains have similar programs:

http://www.unitedvacations.com/
http://www.hiltonplus.com/hilton/
Good luck! |

There never is a website that will always be cheaper than the others… Depending on your timing and the deals offered, there are a bunch of websites. Check the following websites:
www.orbitz.com
www.cheaptickets.com
www.cheapair.com
www.cheapoair.com
www.expedia.com
www.hotwire.com
www.priceline.com
www.travelocity.com
www.tripadvisor.com
www.onetravel.com
www.aaa.com (if you’re a member)
www.aa.com
www.continental.com
www.delta.com
www.northwest.com
www.united.com
www.usairways.com
www.hawaiianair.com
Websites like Kayak, BookingBuddy, Farecast, and Mobissimo are search engines that do not actually sell tickets. But they’re a good starting point to get an idea of what airlines run the route you want, as well as a general ticket price.
Do your homework and you should be able to find a good deal. Good luck! |

I've always found www.kayak.com to have the best deals on flights. I found a flight a few months ago roundtrip from Boston to Los Angeles for $192.
Of course, they won't always have the cheapest, because airlines have special deals by visiting their websites from time to time. But in general, Kayak has never really let me down.
Hope this helps. |
