Hi there! There are locks specifically designed for TSA (Transportation Security Agents) to get into but the general public can't. You can get them pretty much at any place that sells luggage (walmart, etc.) or you can also get them on www.travelsmith.com. Make sure they have a label on them that says TSA Approved. Good luck!

A Warlock might be able to protect your bags... but that's just weird.

You do not have to use a TSA lock, you can use any lock you want, just when you check in your baggage make sure it's unlocked so if TSA needs to get in it they can, most TSA employees will lock it up for you when their done, you can ask the airline attendant to ask the TSA person to re lock it.

Kaytee
If your suitcase has an integrated combination lock, you can use it. If they need to search your bag, you will be called to open it. Inconvienence, yes, but maybe worth it.

No locks. If you put a lock on your luggage, it will get cut, and I can guarantee it'll guarantee your bag will be thouroughly searched too.

Hassen
You have to use a TSA APPROVED lock on your luggage.

Any other type of lock will be cut off and replaced with a plastic band.

Here's what the TSA says about it:

Rolf
You are able to use the lock you want...
But if you are documenting you will need to remove the lock...
If you luggage goes with you inside the plane, then you can use the one you like the must.

Sunny
One that they can open to check your luggage for any misc. 'cause it will be opened for a check and if they can't open it because you have a lock on it, then it will be cut open....it happened before!!!!

candy_005
one your bags you can use key locks or i think you would be able to use the locks that you use to lock lockers unless you have something in there that is not suposted to be. lol : )

YOU CAN PUT A LOCK ON CHECKED-IN LUGGAGE.

The lock must be "TSA" approved. The lock or package it comes in will indicate this. If the lock is TSA approved, you can lock your luggage and the security staff will have a key that can open it without having to cut the lock.

All other locks will most likely be cut depending on what airports you will be passing through.

Good luck.
