What type of seat to choose when traveling in plane ? Front , back, or middle ?

I go to seatguru to find out about the seats. I choose exit rows because they have the most room in economy. If they are not available then I try to go as far front as possible, but not the very front because that is where the lavatories are.

It really depends on the class of seat you are purchasing the tickets for, but its generally better to sit in the front.

In first or business class, there is usually a set of bathrooms towards the front. Food and beverage service usually is in the back, and boarding is usually in the back.

For economy, boarding is in the front but bathrooms are in the back. On many flights, the first few rows for economy are specially set aside for frequent fliers with elite status or are sold at a higher price. If you want to get on and off the plane quickly, it's best to sit at the front of economy. If you're in the back seats it will take forever. If going to the bathroom is an issue, then sit towards the middle.

Go to seatguru.com - if you enter in the details of your flight you'll be able to see exactly what the cabin looks like.

If you are flying economy - the rear of the plane is the safest.
Bulkhead gives you more legroom. Supposedly you should sit no more than 4 seats from an exit.

First class would obviously be the best and the most costly too =P.

Anyway, take the window seat..great view!

Of course, first class is best, but otherwise, you usually have the most legroom in exit rows or the bulkhead. Otherwise, select the middle of the plane. The front usually has the least legroom and the back has the horrible engine noise.

Depends on if you get motion sick or not. As with everyone else, you cant beat First Class. But, sitting as close to the wing as possible will avoid feeling the forces on take off and landing and during turbulance. The back of the plane takes most of the force of impact and tends to fish tale. If you get motion sick, do not sit in the rear.

While bulk head and exit row seats do have the extra leg room, you loose hip room because the armrests are fused and immovable because the tray tables are stowed inside the arm rests. The 1st row of Exit Row has a limited recline. Its not like you get much in any seat, but its about half in that row.

Log on to Seat Guru and look at the particular airlines aircraft configuration.

Middle is best. Avoid the back as it is where the toilet is and you will get no peace the whole flight.Have a good journey

The front in planes with engines on the wings. Its quieter and you can see better because your in front of the engines. In planes with engines on the tail the front or middle is fine.
