What would you do if you were kicked off a flight for coughing?

i felt soo bad for the girl. I would be upset, but i dont think there would be much I could do about it.

I would be incredulous but I would keep my mouth shut and leave as told. Then I would contact the airlines customer service and have them arrange for another flight or accommodations. How I was treated by their customer service would dictate the level of compensation I demanded from the airline. (You have to expect that every corporation has at least one idiot working for them)

If they were prompt, apologetic and accommodating I would let them off the hook with just covering my the cost of my missed flight and hotel or the flight I did take and as punishment a couple of round trips to wherever they fly.

If they were jerks about it then we would be looking at a monetary settlement but I would gladly sign the confidentiality clause for the right dollar amount.

Their customer service people totally screwed this up by not kissing butt and getting this settled quickly and quietly.

It has already cost them millions in bad publicity which I would have only taken a small fraction of and some early and fast butt kissing would have prevented altogether.

Find another flight so I could get to my destination and then never fly that airline again.

Well, if the Captain or a flight attendant removed me from a flight for ANY reason, I would do what they tell me. If you start giving them a lot of lip, you can be arrested. It is a FEDERAL crime to resist them.

Practically speaking, if you have a heavy, uncontrollable cough, they may think you have something that is contagious and would want you to deplane for that reason. That is not an unusual event.

I would ask for a refund plus a comp. I would also demonstrate to them that I am not contagious by coughing in their faces.

I would alert the media of the horrible service I recieved on that airline. I also would demand that airline give me compensation in the form of hotel, another flight, and/or food (depends how much the original flight cost).

depends if your coughing and have some contagious infective disease and you just coughed up a lung, not covering your mouth, in peoples faces and just plain nasty.....

sorry, but I don't any airline would kick you off for coughing. If any thing they would try to help you with water or anything else they have in their first aid kit. If you had a illness and you were coughing, that's a different story they would make a emergency landing. I was on a plane flying from Miami to New York and they made a emergency landing because some one got sick and they couldn't stabilize that person.

i'd probably start crying and then they'd feel bad and they'd let me back on the plane lol
