Singapore Airlines are the best I've flown with, and I've been on most...their service and food are untouchable, and they are the most politest of crews I've ever come across. They treat all passengers the same no matter whether your in first class or economy, and their on-board entertainment is also very good. |

I've flown alot, and at the top of my list are Singapore Airlines. The service on their long haul flights is top notch. We never went more than an hour without someone coming around with food/drinks. |

The best airline I've flown on was Emirates: a really excellent onboard entertainment system with a lot of movies, games, etc, good food and good service. I would note however that my flight was only a 3.5 hour hop from Auckland to Sydney (short by intl standards) in a half full plane, so I had plenty of room and not enough time to get really bored... Still clearly a top quality airline.
Singapore and Air New Zealand are also excellent. |

I like Singapore Airlines. The service is excellent. The aircraft average around 6 years of age. There is really good in-flight entertainment. The food is not bad. Also they are in the Star Alliance so even though I do not have a Singapore Airlines frequent flier account, I can earn miles on United Airlines. |

It depends on where you are flying really......
Charter - First Choice and Thomas Cook
Low Cost - Jet2
Scheduled, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines are all good.
Hope this helps |

KLM!!!!!
KLM is definately one of the best if not best airline. It could be an expensive one though.
They have the best service, and great food. Very organized. Also partnered with northwest so fastest routes can be made all over the world. |

Any of the top Asian Airlines. Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Japan Airline, also ANA and Thai Airways. From the Middle East carriers it has to be Emirates and lastly KLM. As I've flown with many of these carriers on long haul flights, I look for top service, friendly air crew, quality food, good on-board entertainment and most importantly a good flight safety record.
As my brother-in-law is an Aircraft Engineer for Emirates, I can re-assure you that Emirates is one of the safest carriers to fly with. |

Don't know about the best, but I wouldn't go with Ryannair if it was the last. By the time you have paid them to fasten your seatbelt and everything else, you could fly first class with BA. |

Qantas (Australian). Long history, generally good service, and, to date, no fatal crashes during the jet era. |

depends where you're going
I like to fly Southwest when I'm going from LA to Vegas, it's quick and the flight attendants are usually cool, and prices are reasonable, otherwise I fly JetBlue to NY
Virgin and Swiss Air are awesome to fly to Europe, I like British Airways but they are notorious for losing and delaying luggage
I've flown both Korean Air and JAL to Asia, both reasonable, never fly to Asia on a US commuter, they suck!
and don't ever fly on Air India, you'll throw up
I've always had bad experiences with American, United, and Continental, their attendants are SOOOO rude and planes are usually dirty |

The Australian air line Quantas, they've had the least number of accidents over the years they have been operating. |

South African Airways is the best I've been on. The price is good, the food is okay, the in flight entertainment excellent and the staff are very friendly. I've travelled on many others such as Virgin, BA, Continental, Delta, American Airlines, South West Airlines, Air Jamaica, British West Indies Airway, etc and the SAA are the best. |

Anyone except RyanAir.
They are charging for people to use the bathroom on flights now. Next they'll charge for cabin oxygen. |
