Delta Virtual Airlines #3438

Love flying but i did have one pretty bad flight. I went to Huntsville using connection flights through Atlanta form Denver. We usually fly with MD-80s or CRJs but on the return flight, it was a 33 passenger turboprop. I forgot the name. But we were on approach to Atlanta and the flight was already pretty bumpy. The flight attendant was still passing drinks back in and everything else when the plane dropped about 50 feet. Just WHAM! And the flight attendant when flyin gin the air and landed on passengers. She just "laughed"!!! It was scary, everyone was screaming and holding on to the chairs in front of them Pretty fun flight!
**was my first prop flight** |

It was in an 18 passenger helicopter .
We hit some turbulence , the rotors went strangely silent and the aircraft must have dropped 40 or 50 feet like a stone.
There was people who were actually screaming; of course we ridiculed them about this afterwards. |

One time I was flying from Atlanta back home to St. Louis, and we hit a MAJOR thunderstorm. We're talking a huge anvil-shaped cloud that produced severe lightning. Boy, was I nervous. The plane kept taking huge drops and was moving from side to side. I've flown a LOT (frequent overseas traveler), but that flight shook me up a bit, too. No worries man... it happens to the best of us! |

I flew from Orlando to London many years ago. The flight normally takes 8 - 9 hours. The tail wind was so fierce that we did it in 4 1/2 !! It was extremely bumpy all the way. |

The worst I have experienced was whilst crossing the Andes. That really scared me especially as all I could think about was that rugby team that crashed and had to eat each other to survive. |

Travelling from Canada to Barbados, I was watching that film about the Holocaust think it was called Life is Beautiful it started out funny and ended really sad and I was in tears. I had just closed my eyes and then the plane dropped 200 feet. It was scary but I am thankful no one was hurt. The pilot said that we hit an air pocket. |

A few years ago on a flight from NYC to Paris, we were somewhere over the Atlantic. I had just closed my eyes and started to doze off. The stewardesses had the carts in the aisles and were collecting trays.
Without warning we just hit BAD turbulence (no storm, no warning, no smaller bumps to build up), we just went up and down and side to side. There were a few screams, crying babies, the guys next to me spilled their coffee, and the stewardess fell onto me! They then rushed to lock the cart up and strapped themselves in the jumpseats. Always been a bit nervous to fly ever since.......but still do. |

I've had some pretty bad turbulence experiences.
When you are flying over the Caribbean, you may get some bad stuff. I was on a Delta 757, going to Aruba (and on the return), and it got pretty bad at times.
Recently, I was on the US Airways shuttle, from BOS - LGA; they usually don't turn off the seatbelt sign, because the flight isn't long enough; however, there was so much turbulence, the flight attendants could not serve drinks to the passengers! |
