I had a connection in Mexico City. It was horrible. No one could help me find out what was going on. I got so lost. I really thought I was going to be stuck there forever. The airport is not very well marked at all. Not even in spanish!

"Sitting across the isle at the gate from a girl in a short skirt with no panties."

hey, wait.. you count that as the "worst airport experience?"

my worst experience was not thing to do with an airport.
i was flying from Seattle to BKK.
the flight has been call off because of the win-storm, so we have to wait, and it kinda chain reaction (can not remember all the detail )
i ended up spend almost 40Hs to get to bkk!! (instead of 16-17Hs)

Ha! Which one???

This summer I was in Mexico City for a few days. I travelled stand-by with Continental (I get benefits from them) around the Fourth of July. I got to Mexico fine and got back to Houston (I was going to Denver ultimately) just fine. But Continental's domestic flights were running at about 98% capacity. I ended up getting bumped from all flights from Houston to Denver AND Colorado Springs (that's about 15 flights a day). I ran between terminals to try for each flight. But it didn't last just a day. No--it took a whole whopping five days before I got home to Denver. I probably logged about 7 miles just running around the freaking airport with my bags. After a couple of nights in the airport and a couple more in the hotel I felt like a newly minted airport veteran.

And just think--I didn't get a penny reimbursed because I was stand-by! Remember that next time you're stuck somewhere.

Las Vegas - 11/12/06. Flight that was supposed to depart at 8:15 a.m. did not take off until after 7:00 PM. Supervisor never offered a meal voucher ($8 - what can you buy w/that at an airport) or customer "care" voucher. Not too happy w/this airline, to say the least. To top it off, when I got to my car at the parking lot I had a flat tire. It wouldn't have been great at 1:30 in the afternoon, but at almost midnite - well, I was ready to cry.

Flying on a smallish commuter jet for 3 hours seated one row behind a man who had removed his shoes, and shared his horrible stinky foot odor with the entire plane.

Mine is a whole airline/airport experience. On my first trip to Germany in 2004 I was with 45 other students and 5 chaperons. We were flying from Detroit to Chicago and Chicago to Frankfurt. We all had made sure our luggage would be able to be carried on and the initial people at check in said we all we OK. When we got to the gate 2 people were made to check their bags. One student was told their seat was taken and would not be able to get on the flight but someone offered thier seat. When we got on the plane her initial seat was empty. We got to Chicago with 5 minutes to make it across the airport. When we arrived in Frankfurt those two peoples luggage never made it, it had never left Detroit. It took 3 days to get it to them. On the way back our initial flight from Frankfurt to Chicago was canceled and we spent an hour trying to get onto another flight. We eventually did and now would be flying to New York, New York to Dullas, and Dullas to Detroit. Our ETA was originally 11pm and was now 1am. When we arrived in NY the person in Frankfurt didnt do their job right and we had to rebook our next flights. Our 6 hour layover turned into 8. We arrived in Dulles and we told 6 of would not be getting on the plane and I was one of them. After all the people got on the place the person at the gate said there were 2 more seats and people left behind decided that this guy and I should go... so we walk all the way out to the plane, start up the stairs and are told the remaining seats are for the flight attendants. So we had to go all the way back in. Then we got to call our family and say we don't know WHEN we will be back while the person tried to rebook us. They booked us on an 11am flight for tomorrow and put us into a hotel. When we got there the next day our 11am flight was delayed for 2 hours. Needless to say I will never fly this airline again.

I had a weeklong business trip in England a few months ago. The last day I was there, we stayed at one of the hotels at heathrow airport because we had an early flight. Against my co-workers wishes, I decided to go to London for the evening to do some sight-seeing. I had no problem getting there since all of the hotel buses went to the airport. I just simply got on the "tube" at the airport which went directly to London. The problem was that when I came back from London on the subway and got off at the airport stop, I noticed that not all of the airport buses went to the hotels. I didn't understand any of the bus schedules and was completely confused. There were about 20 different buses I could have gotten on. Being a typical American tourist, I was afraid to ask for help, thinking someone might tell me to take the wrong bus on purpose. I decided I'd walk. It was about two miles alongside of highway to the hotel if I remembered right. I almost got hit by those crazy taxi drivers multiple times, because I'd always forget which direction to look before crossing, since they drive on the opposite sides of the road. Then, the highway came to a VERY VERY long and narrow tunnel, which wasn't meant for people to walk through. I decided to climb the hill to see if I could cross over the top only to realize it was the runway for the airport.

So, if anyone driving to Heathrow airport last August noticed a stupid american walking alongside traffic along the narrow tunnel trying not to get killed, that was me.

my worst airport experiencewas that we were on our way to san fransisco and when the lady gave us our tickets it was on the way to tokyo so we had to take the next plane

When i was coming back from Italy we had a flght connection in New York. Once we boarded the plane we found ou that we missed our take off time so we had to wait on the side of the take off strip for 3 and a half hours. Plus we were supposed to get food and they made us pay for it.

I was on a flight to Paris. Every thing was fine. A few turbulence's until one point when we hit with something. The plane shook and the masks came down. Lots of people were screaming and people were putting on their masks and going into crash position. Than the pilot comes on and says we have safely landed in Paris.
True story. Everyone getting off that plane was very thankful that the pilot was just a bad at landing and not flying
Bye all!

Well it was actually the flight. We hit a storm Over Wyoming on a California to New York flight. I think lightning hit the plane and we lost the air conditioning. I prayed out loud the whole way to New York and cried. That was the worst flight I was ever on.

Well not the worst, I'm still here.
