When you land on a plane, and the pilot hasnt switched off the unfastened seatbelt sign...?

Do most people unfasten their belts?

Yes, a lot of people do, but this is technically against aviation law and the cabin attendants should really tell you to fasten it again until the lights have been turned off.

Seatbelts should not be unfastened until the aircraft has come to a complete stop and the engines have been shut down.

I've actually seen them shout at people because they took their seatbelts off too early, but I've also seen many just let it go and not say anything.

Probably. But the jokes on them if the brakes fail and the plane slams into another plane or a building or something.

I treat an airplane like an amusment park ride, I keep my seatbelt on until the ride has come to a full and complete stop.

Most people do, but they really shouldn't, just in case...

The signs are left on - or off, as the case may be - as a safety measure that saves the airlines butt if something happens.

A while back, an Air Canada flight was in the air and hit turbulence. Even though the seat belt light was on and the crew tells you to keep it on if you're in your seat, people had them off and went flying. They were not able to sue because they had disobeyed direct instructions.

You gotta still leave it on for safety purposes...
I remember this one man on a flight I was on actually stood up once we touched the ground and opened the over-head locker taking his bags out...The FLight Attendant went off her head like he was some kind of school kid LOL it was pretty funny.
