I am still amazed they can get something that heavy off the ground.
I happen to be one of these people who is quite happy to use aeroplanes, but have absolutely no idea how they work. |

I work in the aviation industry. My first thought is: 'Oh good - that's my salary covered.' |

That's nothing, you should see Heathrow on a bank holiday. |

When I see an aeroplane in the sky... I always wish I was on it...! (It would be just my luck though that it would be landing at my nearest airport! Lol!) :) |

I looked into the sky this morning and thought the same thing-
there were 4 planes in sight at that moment-I hope they are going somewhere warmer than the UK- |

Can't say I have. But over the years I have noticed planes are flying lower and lower (maybe due to too much air traffic) I can even read their logo at times |

I lived just half a mile from the flight path of aircraft flying into Birmingham. Yes, I often wondered where folk had come from. But I had, at that time, never flown myself. Then I did go by air, to the Middle East. Milling around in Heathrow and seeing all the departure boards I found out. It is so amazing to realise to where people do travel. I recall when, some fifty years ago, I lived in a very rural area, there was one man who had never, in the whole of his life, been out of his village. Honestly.

I've wondered too and some time ago, ran across a website that showed (little light blips) worldwide air traffic live. The number of planes in the air was astounding ! Sorry, I don't remember the site but I think it can be "googled" |

not when you stop to consider that there's over 6,000,000,000 of us lurching around the planet.
I always wondered why there aren't more planes and airports. |
