Forget the ticket agents . The best deals are always on Teletex. Just browes until you get a page with the best price. On Teletex the price they show is the price you pay . Prices must by law contain all surcharges . Some companies try it on but tell them the price shown must include everything unless otherwise stated. Cheap time to go about April. Try and go Quantas, highly recommended.

If you are a student or under 26, try sta travel. They have pretty huge discounts with flexible fares. Big sale tomorrow - Friday Nov. 24th. There are also tons of offices in Australia when you get there.

The month of travel will have a huge effect on the price of the airfare. January is one of the months where the airfares are on the high side. You have not indicated when you would be travelling.

Perhaps you could start with http://www.pricebookers.co.uk/cheap-airfares/to-Sydney.html but I would also check with travel agents to see if they are offering deals/packages. I would also check airlines sites - Qantas, Emirates, British Airways etc as they also offer deals.

If you have time, look at fares ex the continent - such as Hamburg to save Â£Â£Â£ you would have to be prepared to use a cheap and nasty (ryanair, easyjet etc) to connect with your flight though.

if you are prepared to fly via the US (longer routing) you can sometimes get great deals on United Airlines, otherwise don't fly your big name airlines. Look at Air China, China Eastern, Korean Air, Asiana, Gulf Air etc.

It depends on where you are flying to and from where , also which dates, after 9th December to 15TH Jan,wil be more expensive, after that prices will drop a bit, but you will be lucky to get anything cheaper than 900 pounds if you are lucky. I'm going in a fortnight and it cost me 1400 pounds. I usually fly with Singapore Airlines they are really good, another good one is Emirates.I booked through Thomas Cook hope this helps, they are usually the cheapest as i have been with them twice this year.

I used EBOOKERS this year to book flights to LAX, good price offering and no hassles or complaints. I've never had any luck with Expedia for cheap flights anywhere!
