Sounds like your looking at last minute travel, otherwise the price should be no where near that!!!
If your willing to fly anytime for a cheaper fare, or perhaps have a stop over, check out www.priceline.com name your price.
Nashville to L.A. should only be about $200 (check out www.travelocity.com / click on Flights / click on Low Fare Alert - select Nashville).
Your other option is to check out neighboring airports. You can fly into SNA or ONT, or Burbank, but I think thats further and I don't know the code. Depending on where your going in LA and the time of your flight, you may be stuck in major traffic and spend $$$ on taxi, but you won't be paying $1000 for airfare. |

There are a number of different places to try. You may also wish to consider arranging your flight for the middle of the week, as these are generally the days that are least expensive. Additionally, you may wish to alter the times that you fly out. Generally really late and really early flights are less expensive.

Cheapest flight to Los Angeles is $246.49 on Frontier Airlines, the route is, Nashville-Denver-Los Angeles.
I tried searching for other nearby airports but they're more expensive.
But if you could leave by let's say next week, the cheapest fare to Los Angeles is $200.90 on Southwest Airlines which is a non-stop flight to Los Angeles. |
