I will be honest with you.... i started looking for several months before deciding on which to buy, when I went to France and Italy this year...
I suggest Travelocity.....then Expedia.. but,,,,, you can also go to the companies direct site online and check out the prices...some have package deals with hotel also,, which may be good....
also Cheap Tickets...
If you are traveling within Europe,,,, look up EasyJet..... they are good and cheap......trust me,, I did....

the answer is depend on where you live, where you are going and when. You can find cheaper fare on sidestep or kayak.
But don't forget to check your local travel agencies too. Sometimes they have consolidated fares.
Good luck!

can you fly a hang-glider they are cheep to fly

lachicadecafe
Try the big ones mentioned like orbitz, expedia, travelocity. Sidestep isn't bad, and sometimes, if you're going last minute, priceline can give you a deal. If you know way in advance that you want to go someplace, and you're persistent, you can find that good deal out there.
