Use www.skyscanner.net to get the flights but book the flight through the airlines own website as they can cancel the flights if not booked through them. Ryanair did it a few weeks back.

www.bookingbuddy.com is a good site. You just enter your information and on the site there are a bunch of site icons you can just click to compare prices.
So far, my favorite site is travelocity because I usually find the cheapest airfares there.
Try booking on Tuesday or Wednesday because usually the tickets are cheaper for departure and arrivals.
Since my bf moved, I have been trying to find the cheapest airline tickets as possible. Don't make a mistake I did. I found tickets in December last week for only $250! I waited a week til I got paid and they shot up like $400. I found some for $324....
My friend told me about farecast how I should wait because they'll drop but I was too scared to trust it. I checked today and it did drop about $10. so www.farecast.com is a good site for predictions when you should buy your tickets.
Goodluck!

check your preferred airline. they usually hand out the cheapest rates. Or if not, a travel agent is always the best way to get travel papers done. Consult your local travel agent.
