Where do pilots go on their break? |

During International flights, the crew gets a break. On most airplanes, there are seats blocked off for crew rest. On our 747s, there is actually a bunk room in the cockpit, and that is where they get their break. A very select few will sometimes come out of the cockpit and mingle with some of the passengers, or the F/As. (On International flights there are 3-4 pilots/first officers, so this is doable. There is always a min. of 2 in the cockpit.)
When on the ground, they go wherever they want. Sometimes they just walk around the airport, get something to eat, etc. If they have a long sit, then chances are that they will go to Ops. All airports have an Ops room with computers...for getting flight information. At the larger airports (especially the hubs), there are nicer/larger crew lounges with recliners/couches/etc so you can take a little nap if you want to. |

Dependent upon the airline, pilots are required to have plenty of rest before the flight. Commercial pilots seem to get less rest than military planes, especially airlift cargo planes.
Fighter pilots turn on Kenny Loggins and Glenn Frey music. They set the alarm to wake them up from their slumber. |

They have breaks inbetween flights most of the time. My dad's one and they go to a Pilot's lounge. They are usually secluded and you have to know a special code to get into it. They have huge recliners for one's who've been on a while and want to sleep. and they have computers for them to check their flights/schedules/email/etc. |

If they are smokers (which a large percentage are) they go to whatever the designated smoking room is. Most airports have "crew lounges" where they can go and rest or sleep, eat, get on the internet... A lot of them don't have time for breaks in between flights though..an hour at the very most. |

Do you mean in flight or at the airport. On long haul flights there are always seats blocked off for crew rest. Not to say they ever use them, but they are there. |
