Where would i find the cheapest flight?

Where to find the cheapest roundtrip flight from Sacramento CA to Mexico City MX? Does the price depend on how early you reserve your flight? && im planning on going sometime in june or july.

The further out you book the better chance at the discount fares you are going to have. Right now you are looking around a $400 base fare before taxes and fee's, give or take depending on the departure day and length of stay. The shortest route is going to be taking Delta or United to LA and then connecting with Alaska Airlines to Mexico City. The travel sites mix and match airlines, just make sure there is enough time in your connecting city, atleast an hour or more just incase of a delay.

If you book straight Delta, you will be routed to Atlanta to connect. If you book straight Alaska Airlines you will go to Seattle or Portland, then back down to LA then to Mexico City. America West's fare is the same base and connects in Phoenix and you can book that directly on their website cheaper than you can on the travel sites.

Being this far out you have time to hit a sale. But you probably wont get a sale from Sacramento to Mexico City, you'd probably only see the sale fare from LA of San Francisco, if you're closer to one or the other. Youd also save money if you cut out the connection.

The main thing is book no less than 30 days out to get the best fares. The closer you get to the date the more it will go up, so book as soon as you know your travel dates. Check your reservation online frequently especially the closer it gets to the departure date. Flight times and number can change with or with out notice.

Make sure when/if you use a travel site that you READ ALL THE FARE RULES and PAY ATTENTION to the booking fee's. Price compare the same dates with the airlines that were quoted on the consolidated list. Most times you will find cheaper fares directly with the airline. Some websites lock you into the ticket and you can not for any reason make a change and the airlines will not touch those tickets.

Also, you now have to have a passport to travel to Mexico, not just a birth certificate.

?
I would have to say...Cheap tickets.. i have been searching prices for round trip international flight for 2 months and they were always the cheapest price (on some of the same flights as others).. and you can put a price alert on your request.. I checked out several different ones....it all came back to Cheap tickets.. i suggest you look online now..that is a busy season time in those months..

know it all
depending on the time frame for your trip try travelzoo.com. They have some fantastic last minute specials that you can book months in advance. just click on any of their specials & go to the bottom of that page & type in your airport of choice. It's mighty hot there that time of year.

The one we found to be the cheapest was:

It is usually better if you reserve early--but sometimes there are even last-minute specials.
